Does the one who refrains from Zakah become a kafir?
And this is apparent from the evidences like it is narrated by Imam Muslim in his Sahih on the authority of Zayd ibn Aslam, who heard from Abi Saalih, who heard from Abu Hurayah may Allah be pleased with him, that the messenger of Allahﷺ said and he mentioned the Hadith wherein is said about the refrainer from giving Zakaah: ثُمَّ يُرَى سَبِيلُهُ إِمَّا
إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ وَإِمَّا إِلَى النَّارِ And this abrogates the other evidences from their apparent meaning, and it indicates the lack of kufr from one who refrained from Zakah. Only if he denies (Jahadda) Zakah he becomes an apostate with consensus. Or fought to prevent (people) from giving it, he will become a Kaafir according to the most correct of the two opinions.
